Anthropic IPO Filing Reveals CEO Dario Amodei Earned $18 Million
Anthropic is preparing for an IPO with a potential $2 trillion valuation, disclosing that CEO Dario Amodei earned $18 million in total compensation last year.
AI developer Anthropic is preparing for an initial public offering as early as fall 2026, with a potential valuation exceeding $2 trillion. According to the company's IPO filing, CEO Dario Amodei earned $18 million in total compensation last year, consisting primarily of stock and options. This figure places him above the annual pay of Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai and Amazon CEO Andrew Jassy, though he trails executives at Nvidia and Oracle.
Other executive disclosures include President Daniela Amodei, who received $16.4 million in total compensation, and Chief Financial Officer Krishna Rao, who earned $720,250. Both Amodei siblings saw their annual salaries double to $1.4 million in July.
In the filing, the Amodei siblings and their fellow co-founders pledged to dedicate 80% of their personal equity in the company to charitable causes. Dario Amodei previously wrote that wealthy individuals have an obligation to address problems resulting from AI adoption, criticizing the view that philanthropy is "fraudulent or useless."
