Applied Digital Adds 75 MW AI Capacity in North Dakota
Applied Digital expanded its Polaris Forge 1 campus by 75 MW, bringing the total operational critical IT load at the site to 250 MW.
Applied Digital brought 75 MW of additional AI infrastructure online at its Polaris Forge 1 campus in Ellendale, North Dakota. The expansion includes three 25 MW data halls within the second phase of Building 2, which completes that building's total capacity of 150 MW.
This development increases the total operational critical IT load at the site to 250 MW. The campus is currently fully leased and is contracted to provide 400 MW of critical IT load upon full buildout.
Following the announcement, shares of the company rose more than 10% at the market open on Friday. Chairman and CEO Wes Cummins noted that securing power is only the starting point in the process of creating usable customer capacity.
