Nigeria Urges Saudi Investors to Explore New Economic Partnerships
Vice President Kashim Shettima and government officials invited Saudi Arabian investors to explore opportunities in agriculture and energy during a two-day exhibition in Abuja.
Vice President Kashim Shettima and Minister of Information and National Orientation Mohammed Idris urged Saudi Arabian investors to expand their presence in Nigeria during the two-day Nigeria-Saudi Investment and Tourism Exhibition in Abuja. Organized by Al-Yaro International Limited and the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, the summit targeted deeper cooperation in energy, healthcare, infrastructure, tourism, and agriculture.
Shettima highlighted Nigeria's status as Africa's largest economy and promoted the government's Halal Economy Strategy, which aims to position the nation as a primary hub in the global halal market. Mohammed Idris attributed the country's increased competitiveness to economic reforms enacted under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda.
NiDCOM Chairperson Abike Dabiri-Erewa advocated for the creation of joint ventures and emphasized the capacity of the Nigerian diaspora to drive bilateral trade and economic transformation beyond simple remittances.
