Arunachal Pradesh Officials Deny Chinese Incursions Along Border

Chief Minister Pema Khandu denied reports of a Chinese incursion into Arunachal Pradesh on Friday, characterizing claims that the People's Liberation Army crossed the Line of Actual Control as rumors. The denials follow allegations from the Nah Welfare Society that Chinese personnel entered areas near villages in the Taksing sector of the Upper Subansiri district.

Khandu stated he would verify the allegations by consulting with local tribes and the Indian Army, though he expressed confidence that no incursion occurred because Indian Army personnel are actively maintaining the territory. This follows a pattern of denials from state and military officials. Home Minister Mama Natung previously dismissed encroachment claims as rumors, while the Indian Army issued a statement in June rejecting media reports of PLA encroachment and the establishment of camps as incorrect and without basis.

The Indian Army has specifically rejected previous allegations made by the Nah Welfare Society regarding border violations. State officials continue to urge the public to ignore unverified social media reports regarding the security of the border region.
