Datacentrex Expands Mining Fleet With 500 New ASIC Miners
Datacentrex, Inc. is deploying over 500 prepaid ASIC miners to increase its aggregate hashrate by 21% without spending additional capital.
Datacentrex, Inc. is expanding its digital asset mining operations by deploying more than 500 ElphaPex DG2 Scrypt ASIC miners. The company secured the necessary colocation space and expects the hardware to be energized within 30 days. This expansion adds 9.0 TH/s to the company's fleet, bringing its total deployed hashrate to 52 TH/s, a 21% increase.
Because the hardware was prepaid in full in 2025, the deployment requires no incremental capital and will not impact the company's current cash position. The move follows a 32% increase in the price of Dogecoin during the week ending August 21, 2026. Datacentrex currently operates 3,085 miners across four facilities in the United States with a total power capacity of approximately 12.5 MW.
Chief Executive Officer Parker Scott stated that the company intends to preserve liquidity and protect its balance sheet while building its asset base during down markets. He noted that the company is adding meaningful hashrate while the sector consolidates, specifically because the machines were paid for well before the current deployment.
