Nubia Launches Neo 5 GT and Announces AI Agent Phone

Nubia launched the Neo 5 GT Special Edition gaming phone in Shenzhen and announced a new AI agent smartphone for the upcoming WAIC 2026 in Shanghai.

Nubia launched the Neo 5 GT Special Edition smartphone on July 9, 2026, in Shenzhen, China. Targeted at Gen Z and young gamers, the device features the AquaCore Cooling System, which the company describes as the first liquid and air dual active cooling system in its class. The phone is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, up to 24GB of Dynamic RAM, a 6,210mAh battery, and a 6.8-inch 144Hz AMOLED display. Global rollout begins in July 2026, starting in Southeast Asia, backed by a five-year software update commitment.

Following the hardware launch, the company announced it will unveil the world's first AI agent smartphone at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) 2026 in Shanghai from July 17 to 20. This upcoming device utilizes an on-device large language model and a proprietary coordination solution called CoClaw, allowing the AI agent to execute complex tasks across applications by visually analyzing the screen interface. Industry sources suggest the device may succeed the Nubia M153, which was developed with ByteDance using the Doubao AI system.
