NVIDIA Adds Firefox Support to GeForce NOW Cloud Gaming
NVIDIA expanded its GeForce NOW service to officially support the Mozilla Firefox browser on Windows, enabling streaming for over 2,000 PC games.
NVIDIA added official support for the Mozilla Firefox browser on Windows for its GeForce NOW cloud gaming service. The update, available for Firefox version 154, follows months of engineering collaboration between NVIDIA and Mozilla. It marks the first time a non-Chromium browser has been officially supported for the service on Windows.
Users can now stream over 2,000 PC games from libraries including Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, Xbox PC Game Pass, and Ubisoft Connect without installing a dedicated application. This integration specifically benefits users on shared or locked-down devices, such as school laptops, where administrative rights for software installation are often restricted. GeForce NOW Ultimate members can stream at resolutions up to 1440p and 120 frames per second.
Alongside the browser update, NVIDIA added 12 new titles to its library, including Gallipoli from BlackMill Games. The company is also promoting day passes as an entry point for new users, which can be credited toward full memberships. NVIDIA is expected to provide further details regarding the partnership at Gamescom in Cologne on August 25.
