Kuwait Denies Participation in Military Strikes Against Iran

The government of Kuwait formally rejected reports alleging its participation in military operations against Iran. The denial follows a July 24 Wall Street Journal report titled “Bahrain, Kuwait Warplanes Struck Iran in Rare Gulf Retaliation,” which claimed Kuwaiti aircraft were involved in strikes.

Sheikha Zain Al-Sabah, Kuwait’s Ambassador to the United States, sent a formal letter to the newspaper's editorial board calling the claims “entirely false.” Kuwaiti authorities stated that the country has not participated in any military campaigns against neighboring states and has not permitted the use of its territory, airspace, or territorial waters for offensive operations.

Kuwait reaffirmed its commitment to international law and sovereignty. Officials emphasized a neutral diplomatic stance intended to maintain regional stability.
