US and Mexico Deploy Military for Border Mirror Operations

The United States and Mexico deployed military personnel to the Texas border to conduct joint mirror operations aimed at strengthening security and threat response.

The United States Northern Command and the Government of Mexico have jointly deployed military personnel to the Texas border region to conduct mirror operations. In the Rio Grande Valley, the United States deployed approximately 500 soldiers to strengthen border security, improve threat response capabilities, and support federal law enforcement.

In coordination with the U.S. movement, the Mexican government deployed 159 naval personnel, 11 vehicles, and two drones on the Mexican side of the border. This deployment occurs as the Trump administration pressures Mexico to take more aggressive action against cartels, while Mexico aims to maintain stable trade negotiations.

The Mexican government stated that the cooperation is guided by four pillars: respect for sovereignty, shared responsibility, mutual trust, and "cooperation without subordination."
