Nurse Accuses Rob Bresnahan of Betraying Medicaid Promise

Registered nurse Jimmy Romanelli has accused Rob Bresnahan of betraying a promise to protect Medicaid and Social Security for Northeastern Pennsylvania. Romanelli alleges that during a strike involving more than 800 Geisinger nurses last year, Bresnahan visited the picket line and explicitly pledged to safeguard these programs.

Romanelli claims that despite these assurances, Bresnahan subsequently voted in Washington to cut Medicaid. Geisinger reported that these funding cuts will result in a loss of more than $180 million for health systems across the region.
