Ledger SAS Announces Ledger Atom Security Smartphone

Ledger SAS is launching the Ledger Atom, a smartphone-like device priced at $899 that provides enhanced protection for digital assets and online activity. Scheduled for release next summer, the device will run Android applications alongside a separate operating system dedicated to sensitive tasks, including cryptocurrency transactions, encrypted messaging, and AI agent operations.

Chief Executive Officer Pascal Gauthier stated the product targets individuals and businesses that currently utilize separate smartphones for high-security activities. The announcement follows a security incident involving Ledger products that resulted in a $90 million cryptocurrency theft.
