Tom Emmer holds a narrow lead over DFL challenger Doug Chapin in the race for Minnesota's 6th Congressional District following the November 3 General Elections. With 79% of voting precincts reporting, Emmer has secured 54% of the vote, totaling 160,541 votes, while Chapin has 46%, or 135,177 votes.
While Emmer maintains the lead, his current margin is significantly lower than in previous cycles. He is down eight percentage points compared to his 2022 reelection win of approximately 62% and his 2024 performance of 63%.
Election officials continue to tally Election Day votes as results are reported from the remaining precincts.
