Paradox Interactive Reports 37% Profit Increase in First Half 2026

Paradox Interactive grew operating profits to MSEK 182 by prioritizing downloadable content for established franchises over new game releases.

Paradox Interactive reported an operating profit increase of 37% to MSEK 182 for the period between January and June 2026, with total revenues reaching MSEK 524. This financial growth was driven by a strategic shift toward long-term player engagement, specifically through the release of downloadable content for established titles such as Crusader Kings 3, Europa Universalis 5, and Age of Wonders 4.

CEO Fredrik Wester attributed the success to a transition from a business model centered on launching new games to one focused on building enduring game worlds. This strategy aims to ensure players return to franchises for many years after the initial launch.

In other corporate developments, Paradox Interactive AB began trading its shares on the Nasdaq Stockholm Main Market on June 9, 2026. The company also expanded its portfolio by announcing a publishing agreement with Urban Games for the upcoming title Transport Fever 3.
