KFC Renews PepsiCo International Deal While Switching US Supplier
KFC renewed its beverage partnership with PepsiCo across eight international markets while announcing a switch to Coca-Cola for its United States operations in 2027.
KFC renewed its beverage partnership with PepsiCo across eight international markets, including the United Kingdom, India, Australia, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, and Belgium. The agreement focuses on attracting Gen Z consumers through functional drinks, energy products, and new flavors, while continuing foodservice collaborations like the Doritos Loaded menu item.
This international extension coincides with a major shift in the United States. Starting in January 2027, KFC will end a nearly 40-year relationship with PepsiCo in the US market and switch its beverage supplier to Coca-Cola. KFC leadership described the US transition as part of a broader plan to modernize the business and menu offerings to create a more relevant experience for contemporary consumers.
Eugene Willemsen, CEO of International Beverages at PepsiCo, noted that the company is moving at the speed of culture to help KFC build a more modern beverage business globally.
