Flights departing from Manchester Airport faced significant disruptions on two separate occasions in late August 2026. Data from Flightradar24 indicated that carriers including easyJet, Jet2, Ryanair, TUI, and Virgin Atlantic were affected, with some passengers facing delays exceeding four hours. British Airways flight BA1379 to London Heathrow was cancelled during this period.

Disruptions recurred on Sunday, August 30, with several services running more than an hour behind schedule. The most notable delay involved an easyJet flight to Malta, which was pushed back by one hour and 25 minutes. Jet2 passengers also saw delays for flights to Corfu and Ibiza, while Air France reported a minor delay for a service to Paris. Airport officials advised passengers to verify departure times directly with their airlines.
