Kuwait Intercepts Iranian Missile and Drone Attacks
The Kuwaiti army intercepted Iranian missile and drone strikes targeting United States allies across the Middle East following U.S. bombardments of sites within Iran.
The Kuwait Armed Forces intercepted a missile and drone attack launched by Iran on Thursday. This strike was part of a wider Iranian campaign targeting United States allies throughout the Middle East, with attacks also directed at bases in Jordan, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and the autonomous Kurdistan region of Iraq.
These operations follow extensive bombardment of sites within Iran conducted by the United States on Tuesday. The escalation marks a cycle of direct military engagement between the two powers and their regional partners.
In a separate operation in the northern Gulf, Iranian border guards seized a vessel carrying 382,000 litres of smuggled fuel and arrested 11 foreign crew members.
