Investor Predicts Anthropic IPO Could Reach $2.4 Trillion
An early investor predicts Anthropic's initial public offering could be the largest in history, potentially reaching a trading value of $2.4 trillion.
An early investor in Anthropic predicts the company's initial public offering could become the largest in history, with a projected post-IPO trading value between $2.3 trillion and $2.4 trillion. This valuation would surpass the $2.1 trillion first-day market capitalization of Space Exploration Technologies Corp.
While Anthropic has not yet filed its S-1, the investor expects shares to be priced around $1.8 trillion, which is slightly below the company's reported $2 trillion target. The investor describes Anthropic as "the fastest-growing company in history" and suggests the firm can sustain substantial value even if its growth rate slows.
The investor attributes this potential valuation to the company's enterprise-focused business model. Approximately 80 percent of Anthropic's revenue comes from corporate customers, a significantly higher proportion than OpenAI, where corporate revenue accounts for roughly half of the total.
