European Parliament Passes Resolution to Scrutinize Muslim Brotherhood Networks

The European Parliament approved a resolution to limit funding for Muslim Brotherhood-linked networks following calls for mass deportations by Slovak MEP Milan Mazurek.

The European Parliament passed a resolution by a vote of 381-167 calling for increased scrutiny of networks linked to the Muslim Brotherhood and limits on certain EU funding. The vote followed a debate on Islamist entryism and the influence of these networks within the union.

During the proceedings, Slovak member of the European Parliament Milan Mazurek criticized European Union migration policies, arguing that Slovakia and Poland avoided the street violence and sexual attacks seen in Western Europe by rejecting the policies adopted by Germany, Belgium, and France. Mazurek claimed that progressive liberals destroyed Western Europe and called for the mass deportation of migrants from the continent.

The debate took place against a backdrop of significant unrest in France. Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez reported that as of September 30, student blockades and arson attacks disrupted 356 high schools in cities such as Nantes, Lyon, and Marseille. These events resulted in 625 arrests and injuries to 83 police officers.
