Danladi Ya’u Leaves ADC to Join PDP in Gombe State
Danladi Ya’u resigned as Gombe State Auditor of the African Democratic Congress to join the Peoples Democratic Party and support Isa Ali Pantami.
Danladi Ya’u, the current State Auditor and former Chairman of the African Democratic Congress in Gombe State, resigned from the party on July 21, 2026. In a resignation letter sent to ward chairmen in the Yamaltu/Deba Local Government Area, Ya’u stepped down from his leadership roles and terminated his party membership.
Ya’u defected to the Peoples Democratic Party to support the 2027 governorship bid of Professor Isa Ali Pantami. A former Nigerian minister, Pantami was described by Ya’u as the candidate best suited to lead the state. Ya’u expressed gratitude to the ADC leadership and members for their cooperation during his tenure prior to his departure.
