Union Minister Chirag Paswan announced that the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) intends to contest the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) president Chirag Paswan announced on July 5 in Lucknow that his party intends to contest the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. Paswan stated that the party's state unit will determine the alliance structure and seat-sharing, though the final proposal must be approved by the central parliamentary board.
To expand its organizational base in the state, the LJP (Ram Vilas) will celebrate the birth anniversary of its founder, Ram Vilas Paswan, in Lucknow this year. Paswan expressed support for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the region. In response, Bharatiya Janata Party national president Nitin Nabin voiced confidence that the alliance would win the 2027 elections with a thumping majority.
During his address, Paswan also called for strict action against individuals issuing threats to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and demanded accountability regarding the Ram temple donation theft case.
