Texas Commission on Environmental Quality Reviews Raywood Concrete Plant Permit

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality held a public meeting on July 27 to review an air quality permit application for a temporary concrete batch plant in Raywood, Texas. The plant is proposed for a site located at FM 770 and CR 182.

QYK Brands LLC, a subsidiary of BaRuPon LLC, submitted the permit application. While the meeting's official agenda focused on the concrete plant's environmental impact, attendees used the forum to voice concerns regarding a different development on the property. Those concerns centered on a planned 7-acre data center located within the larger 700-acre site.
