Apple Hides Legacy Dogcow Easter Egg in iOS 27

Apple Inc. included a hidden Easter egg featuring Clarus the Dogcow in the releases of iOS 27 and macOS 27 Golden Gate. The legacy character, originally created by designer Susan Kare as a glyph for the Cairo font, appears within the new Liquid Glass appearance settings.

Users can find a photo of a Dogcow figure by scrolling to the bottom of a fake Apple Park preview page. The update also includes a search box containing the word "Moof!", and typing that same phrase into Siri via Spotlight triggers the response "Nice dogcow."

Apple did not include the character in official feature lists, as the addition serves as a nod to the company's early history rather than a functional software update.
