Ubisoft Removes Cinematic Hood Toggling in Black Flag Resynced

Ubisoft removed the ability for players to toggle the protagonist Edward Kenway's hood during sliding maneuvers and leaps of faith in Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced. The change was introduced in title update 1.0.4, although the official patch notes did not explicitly list the removal of the feature.

Community members on X and Reddit expressed disappointment over the loss of the mechanic, which had been praised for its cinematic quality. Some players speculate the removal was an unintended side effect of developer efforts to fix character and clothes clipping issues.

In response to community feedback, game director Rich Knighton confirmed that the development team is currently working on an option to hide the protagonist's blowpipe.
