Zhejiang Province Integrates AI into Common Prosperity Five-Year Plan

The Zhejiang Provincial People's Government has embedded artificial intelligence and digital technology into its 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030) to advance the common prosperity initiative. The strategy aims to balance economic growth with inclusive social gains by distributing digital dividends across various socioeconomic groups and special-needs populations.

In rural areas, the government has established 4,000 women-oriented common prosperity workshops to provide employment and deployed smart terminals in mountainous schools to reduce educational disparities. In the commercial sector, more than 30,000 merchants in Yiwu are utilizing AI tools to scale their global exports.

Industrial sectors have also undergone significant transitions. At the LONGi Green Energy base, the shift to an AI-driven lighthouse factory has moved labor roles from manual inspection to AI training, reducing inspection labor costs to one-eighth of previous levels and cutting delivery cycles by over 80 percent.
