Allyson Park, the Chief Communications Officer of Walmart Inc., will leave the company on February 1, 2027. According to an internal memo, she will transition into an advisory role starting September 1, 2026, while the retailer searches for an external replacement.
During her three-year tenure, Park integrated the communications department with other corporate divisions and increased the company's use of artificial intelligence. She also managed the communications strategy for the transition of John Furner to the role of chief executive officer.
Park's departure is part of a broader trend of executive turnover at the company this year. Other high-level exits include US chief operating officer Kieran Shanahan, Sam’s Club COO Tom Ward, and head of US store operations Cedric Clark.
