Houthis Use Epstein Files in Propaganda Campaign Against Saudi Arabia
Houthi militia leaders are using released Jeffrey Epstein files to accuse Saudi leadership of corruption and religious betrayal amid a reignited Yemeni civil war.
The Houthi militia in Yemen is conducting a coordinated social media propaganda campaign against the Saudi royal court using files released by the United States Department of Justice regarding Jeffrey Epstein. The campaign specifically targets Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, utilizing a network of influencers and artists to frame the Saudi leadership as corrupt and aligned with foreign interests.
Central to the accusations are reports that associates of the Saudi court sent tapestries from the Kaba in Mecca to Epstein's private island. Houthi President Mahdi al-Mashat characterized these actions as a religious betrayal, while leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi claimed the files unveil a "Zionist incubator" used to train global elites.
This information war coincides with a violent escalation of the Yemeni civil war this summer, which has killed nearly 1,600 people and displaced approximately 260,000. Saudi officials have not responded to the specific allegations regarding the Kaba tapestries.
