Aldi Launches Ready-Made Meal Line for U.S. Market

Aldi is introducing a new line of fresh, ready-made meals starting in October 2026 to meet growing consumer demand for convenience.

Aldi will launch a new line of fresh, ready-made meals in select U.S. markets starting in October 2026, with a full nationwide rollout expected by January 2027. The expansion follows a 2026 International Food Information Council survey showing that 61% of Americans prioritize convenience when purchasing food.

The initial product line features five single-serving meals, including butter chicken and rice and beef bolognese spaghetti, priced under $8. It also includes two family-size options, such as a meat lovers’ pizza bake, priced under $15. The company intends to add new meal options to the collection monthly over the next year.

Joan Kavanaugh, Aldi U.S. vice president of national buying, stated the line was developed for shoppers seeking quality meals that fit busy lives and budgets. The recipes were developed and tested by the Kitchen Food Company, where head of food Terry Jackson oversaw the process to ensure quality standards were met.
