SpaceX to Distribute 2 Million Shares to Eligible Children
SpaceX will distribute over 2 million shares to low-income children in December while exploring a potential merger between SpaceX and Tesla.
SpaceX President Gwynne Shotwell announced that the company will distribute more than 2 million shares to eligible children through Trump Accounts in December. The initial distribution targets children aged 11 to 17 living in ZIP codes with a median family income of $57,000 or less, or in areas where median income data is unavailable. Eligible families are expected to receive notification by Monday.
Shotwell stated that a separate gift is being finalized for children in foster care, children of military families serving overseas, and children in eligible Texas counties with a family income of $90,000 or less.
In a separate development, CEO Elon Musk revealed that SpaceX and Tesla have formed special committees to explore a potential merger. Musk noted that no transaction terms have been agreed upon at this time.
