Ukraine and Russia Exchange Drone Strikes as UK-France Hold Exercises
Ukrainian forces targeted Russian-occupied Crimea and 20 regions while the UK and France conducted joint military exercises in Germany.
Ukrainian forces launched widespread drone attacks on Saturday, targeting Russian-occupied Crimea and more than 20 Russian regions, including the Bryansk border region. The strikes caused extensive water and power outages in Crimea and resulted in several deaths. In response, Russian drone and missile strikes in eastern Ukraine killed at least five people, with casualties reported in Sumy and Synelnykove.
Separately, the Government of the United Kingdom and the French Republic conducted a seven-week joint military exercise called Rhino Titan at the Sennelager training centre in Germany. The operation involved 2,500 troops and a large-scale airborne drop of 600 paratroopers to test defenses against electronic warfare and drones.
Amid these developments, the Ukrainian government reported a stable connection to Starlink. However, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk accused the Ukrainian military of violating company terms shortly after the announcement.
