Amplifier Security Launches Tool to Manage Employee AI Agents
Amplifier Security released Agent Intent & Posture Management to help organizations discover and govern AI agents created by employees to prevent agent sprawl.
Amplifier Security launched Agent Intent & Posture Management (AIPM), a new feature of its Workforce Security Platform designed to govern AI agents created by employees. The tool addresses agent sprawl by discovering unknown agents on endpoints and requiring employees to declare the business purpose of their agents. This allows security teams to decide whether to keep, restrict, or retire agents based on owner-declared intent rather than behavioral metadata.
The launch follows research from the Cloud Security Alliance showing that 82% of organizations discovered unknown agents or workflows within the past year. Ravi Nori, CISO at Gopuff, noted that obtaining written confirmation of an agent's necessity from its owner is critical for reporting and management.
While Amplifier Security focuses on governance, Alexey Spas, CEO of Instinctools, argues that current AI agent implementations often fail to deliver productivity gains because they are created in isolation. Spas proposes the adoption of an agentic operating system to provide a unified orchestration layer for shared context and cross-stack coordination.
