Early Voting Opens Across Arkansas, New York, and California
Voters in Arkansas, New York, and California have begun or are preparing to start early voting for the November 3 general election.
Early voting for the November 3 general election has commenced or is scheduled to begin across several U.S. regions. In the River Valley region of Arkansas, the City of Fort Smith and other local authorities have opened voting centers in Crawford, Franklin, Johnson, Logan, Scott, and Sebastian counties. These sites, including the Sebastian County Courthouse and Alma Community Center, will remain open through November 2.
Starting October 24, early voting expands to other states. The Niagara County Board of Elections in New York will open five sites, including the Niagara Falls Train Station, and has extended hours for absentee and mail balloting in Lockport.
Simultaneously, the Government of Nevada County in California will open a vote center at the Nevada County Government Center in Nevada City on October 24. This transition follows the conclusion of in-person voting at the Grass Valley Ballot Processing Center on October 23. Nevada County officials are providing 18 official drop boxes and a Sign, Scan and Go system for voters submitting ballots from home.
