Raspberry Pi Profits Triple to $19.6 Million in First Half
Raspberry Pi reported record first-half results with revenue jumping 90 percent to $256.9 million, driven by corporate demand and edge AI growth.
The Cambridge-based computer maker Raspberry Pi reported record first-half results on September 24, 2026, with pre-tax profit tripling to $19.6 million. Revenue rose 90 percent to $256.9 million, causing shares to surge up to 17 percent. The company sold 4.2 million units during the period and maintains an order backlog of 2.6 million units.
Growth was primarily driven by strong demand from corporate customers, resellers, and the edge AI market, with expanding interest from the aerospace and defense sectors. To offset rising memory costs, the company increased average selling prices by 42 percent. To mitigate global memory shortages, Raspberry Pi increased its strategic inventory to $262.7 million.
Chief executive Eben Upton attributed the company's ability to maintain product availability while smaller competitors struggled to secure allocation to the decision to build significant strategic memory inventory in fiscal year 2025. Additionally, Arm increased its stake in the company to 13.1 percent following a £50 million investment in April, facilitated by a share sale from the Raspberry Pi Foundation.
