Democratic Leaders Condemn Hasan Piker Over Calls for Violence

High-ranking members of the Democratic Party have condemned Hasan Piker, a media surrogate for the Democratic Socialists of America, following his calls for violence against capitalists and accusations of antisemitism. Piker urged his followers to kill capitalists and stated that the streets should soak in their red capitalist blood.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries denounced Piker's antisemitism during a CNN appearance, while Senator Cory Booker described the rhetoric as "wrong, dangerous, and antisemitic." Other members of Congress, including Elissa Slotkin, Josh Gottheimer, Jacky Rosen, and Ritchie Torres, joined the coordinated effort to distance the party from Piker.

The political backlash coincides with reports that federal subpoenas have been issued regarding Piker's travel to Cuba. These legal inquiries follow allegations that Piker has links to a Cuban subversion network.
