Chris Hemsworth Becomes Co-Owner of Archie Rose Distilling Co.

Actor Chris Hemsworth has acquired an undisclosed stake in Archie Rose Distilling Co., joining founder Will Edwards as co-owner and the global face of the Sydney-based independent distillery. The partnership aims to accelerate the brand's international growth, beginning with an entry into the United States market in late 2026. To support this launch, the company has secured distribution deals with Reyes Beverage Group, New York Wine & Spirits, and Fedway Associates.

Hemsworth is overseeing creative processes, including content strategy and a product redesign for the whisky line. He has co-created three new whiskies scheduled for release in Asia and New Zealand by the end of 2026, with further rollouts planned for the United Kingdom and European Union in 2027. While Hemsworth leads the global strategy, master distiller Dave Withers continues to manage production.

The distillery, which achieved B Corp certification in June 2026, emphasizes sustainability and the use of exclusively Australian-grown malts and native botanicals. The new whisky releases will feature updated, sustainable packaging to align with these environmental standards. The company currently operates its distillery in Botany, Sydney, and maintains a Bar & Cellar Door in Rosebery.
