Trump Advisers Provide Paid Election Counsel to Republika Srpska

Top Trump advisers James Blair and Chris LaCivita received hundreds of thousands of dollars to provide election strategy to the pro-Russian government of Republika Srpska.

Top political advisers to President Donald Trump and leaders of the MAGA Inc. super PAC, James Blair and Chris LaCivita, traveled to Republika Srpska in Bosnia and Herzegovina to provide paid election advice to the region's pro-Russian government. The advisers reportedly received hundreds of thousands of dollars each through a Washington-based law firm for their services. This engagement took place while both men were simultaneously managing advertising and strategy for the Trump campaign's upcoming U.S. midterm elections.

The government of Republika Srpska, led by nationalist leader Milorad Dodik, has spent more than $4 million since last year on operatives and lobbyists with ties to Trump. This effort to gain influence coincided with the Trump administration lifting sanctions on Dodik and his associates.

Following the elections on Sunday, Dodik's party won convincingly. Dodik credited the 2024 victory of Donald Trump for creating a political environment that favored his own success.
