Israel Kills Hamas Operatives and Builds Gaza Security Barrier
The Israel Defense Forces killed three Hamas operatives in Gaza and confirmed the construction of a 23-kilometer security barrier along the Gaza border.
The Israel Defense Forces and the Israel Security Agency killed three Hamas operatives in the Gaza Strip. The targeted individuals included Abdallah Jahja, a member of the Naval Force who participated in the October 7, 2023, attacks in the Negev region, along with cell commander Mohammed al-Hawari and observation operative Sabhi Saqallah.
In a separate development, the Israeli military identified 12 killed Palestinian soccer players, coaches, and a FIFA referee as members of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. The IDF rejected allegations that it deliberately targets athletes, stating that these claims are proven to be false.
Additionally, the Israeli military confirmed it is constructing a 23-kilometer physical barrier along the yellow line in Gaza. The military described the project as a security zone designed to prevent infiltration and protect Israeli communities and troops.
