Eli Lilly Forecasts 2026 Revenue Up to $87 Billion
Eli Lilly expects 2026 revenue to reach $87 billion, driven by strong sales of its weight loss and diabetes drugs Mounjaro and Zepbound.
Eli Lilly and Company expects its 2026 revenue to reach up to $87 billion, marking a substantial increase from the $65 billion reported in the previous year. This growth is fueled by the company's weight loss and type 2 diabetes portfolio, specifically the drug tirzepatide, which is marketed as Mounjaro and Zepbound.
In the most recent quarter, Mounjaro and Zepbound generated over $14 billion in sales. This performance contributed to a 48% increase in total quarterly revenue, which rose to $23 billion.
To maintain its market leadership over competitor Novo Nordisk, the company is expanding its pipeline with late-stage candidates. These include retatrutide and EloraTZP, the latter of which demonstrated greater weight loss than tirzepatide alone during a phase 2 study. Eli Lilly plans to initiate a phase 3 trial for EloraTZP before the end of the year.
