LK Bennett Closes All UK Stores and Website
Womenswear retailer LK Bennett has shut all UK stores and its website following a brand sale to a Gordon Brothers affiliate.
LK Bennett closed all of its UK stores and its website on August 21, 2026, following its entry into administration on January 27. The closure marks the end of physical operations for the London-founded womenswear retailer, which had previously sold its brand and intellectual property to an affiliate of Gordon Brothers.
While the brand assets were acquired, the deal excluded physical stores and concessions. The company attempted to wind down operations through 13 concessions and nine standalone stores across the UK and Ireland. Starting in March, the retailer offered clearance discounts of at least 60 percent to liquidate remaining inventory.
Administrators initially projected a three-month trading window, but many locations closed earlier than expected as stock sold out rapidly. The final closures include a standalone store in Cheltenham and various concessions within John Lewis department stores in London, Manchester, and Edinburgh.
