Saudi Arabia and France Secure $3.7 Billion Investment Deals
Saudi Arabia and France expanded their economic partnership through a series of investment agreements totaling over $3.7 billion during a high-level roundtable in Paris.
Saudi Minister of Investment Fahad Al-Saif and French Minister Roland Lescure hosted the French-Saudi Investment Roundtable in Paris on August 24, 2026. The event took place during an official visit to France by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, focusing on the expansion of bilateral partnerships under Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 diversification strategy.
During the roundtable, Saudi Aramco signed agreements and a memorandum of understanding with French companies totaling more than 3.7 billion U.S. dollars. These deals include a corporate procurement agreement for drilling equipment and initiatives to advance industrial artificial intelligence, digital technologies, and supply chain efficiency.
Minister Al-Saif reported that French foreign direct investment in Saudi Arabia has reached 16.3 billion euros, establishing France as the Kingdom's fourth-largest source of FDI. While manufacturing has historically accounted for roughly 60 percent of this investment, the two nations are now expanding their cooperation into mining, creative industries, transport, logistics, and digital infrastructure.
