Molson Coors Beats Second-Quarter Earnings and Sales Estimates
Molson Coors reported second-quarter adjusted earnings of US$1.58 per share and net sales of US$3.1 billion, exceeding Wall Street expectations.
Molson Coors Beverage Company reported second-quarter adjusted earnings of US$1.58 per share and net sales of US$3.1 billion, surpassing Wall Street estimates of US$1.51 per share and US$3.08 billion. The company utilized price increases and a strategic shift toward premium products to mitigate a 5.4 percent decrease in financial volumes and escalating raw material expenses.
Financial headwinds included US$40 million in additional costs linked to Midwest Premium aluminum pricing. Chief Financial Officer Tracey Joubert noted that "Further progress on our cost savings initiatives partially offset ongoing commodity cost inflation and the impact of lower financial volumes."
Despite these inflationary pressures and geopolitical uncertainty in the Middle East, the company reaffirmed its annual outlook. Molson Coors Beverage Company expects net sales to remain flat on a constant currency basis, while underlying earnings per share are projected to decline between 11 percent and 15 percent compared to 2025.
