Netflix Appoints Steve Wilson to Lead Podcasting Division
Netflix hired former Apple executive Steve Wilson to lead its podcasting division as the company expands its audio and digital video footprint.
Netflix appointed former Apple executive Steve Wilson to lead its podcasting division. Wilson spent nearly 15 years at Apple as an early member of the Apple Podcasts team and most recently served as the chief strategy officer for Daylight Media, formerly known as QCODE, from 2020 to 2026.
This leadership change follows the recent appointment of Peter Rice as the company's chief content officer. The hire comes as the streaming service expands its audio and digital video presence through distribution deals with Spotify, iHeart Media, and Barstool.
Additionally, the company is partnering with publishers such as Hearst Magazines, Condé Nast, and BuzzFeed to integrate YouTube series into its streaming platform.
