Houthis Strike Aden as Yemen Army Launches Massive Offensive
The Houthi movement launched a ballistic missile at a Saudi operations room in Aden amid a massive Yemeni government offensive targeting Houthi positions.
The Houthi movement launched a ballistic missile on Wednesday targeting a Saudi Arabian operations room at the Badr camp in Aden, Yemen. Military spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed the strike hit the operations room near the airport. This event marked the third Houthi attack against the seat of the Riyadh-backed government in one week, following strikes on the al-Maashiq presidential compound and the airport perimeter.
Simultaneously, the Government of Yemen escalated its military campaign through Operation Dawn of Yemen. The Yemeni army reported conducting 835 strikes against Houthi targets within a 24-hour period using combat aircraft, drones, field artillery, and rocket launchers. Military officials claim these operations neutralized approximately 285 fighters and commanders and destroyed 190 military vehicles.
Heavy clashes also erupted in Taiz, where government forces and Popular Resistance fighters repelled Houthi attempts to retake positions near the old airport and Mount Han. Additional government strikes targeted Houthi fortifications west of Marib and along northern and eastern fronts to restrict militant maneuverability. These escalations follow a period of sustained Houthi aggression, including a maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia and the seizure of Red Sea coastline territory.
