Sara Duterte Travels Abroad Amid Senate Impeachment Trial

Sara Duterte departed for an overseas trip to Qatar, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands while her impeachment trial proceeds before the Senate. Her itinerary includes attending a forum and a Filipino community event in the United Kingdom, along with engagements in the Netherlands aimed at promoting Philippine interests and strengthening ties with overseas Filipinos.

The Office of the Vice President stated the trip combines official foreign travel with personal engagements. According to the office, Duterte is funding all expenses personally and is not using government resources for the journey.

Despite the Vice President's absence from the country, the Office of the Vice President remains operational. The agency confirmed it continues to maintain disaster response mechanisms and satellite office programs nationwide.
