Aeva Technologies Shares Jump 29% After Q2 Earnings Beat
Aeva Technologies shares rose nearly 29% after the company beat second-quarter earnings expectations and announced a strategic expansion into the artificial intelligence market.
Aeva Technologies saw its shares rise nearly 29% following the release of its second-quarter earnings report. The company reported sales of $6.1 million and a non-GAAP loss of $0.41 per share, slightly exceeding analyst expectations of $6 million in sales and a $0.43 per share loss.
Revenue grew 11% year over year. While GAAP losses reached $1.23 per share, this marked a significant improvement over the $3.49 per share loss recorded during the same period in 2025.
Alongside the financial results, the company announced a strategic expansion into the artificial intelligence market through a new Optical Connectivity venture. This initiative applies photonics technology originally developed for autonomous vehicles to AI infrastructure. In a leadership change, the company also announced that CFO Saurabh Sinha is departing to pursue an opportunity outside the sensing industry.
