SpaceX to Launch Crew-13 Mission to Space Station
SpaceX will launch four astronauts to the International Space Station on September 12, 2026, to conduct medical research and station maintenance.
Space Exploration Technologies Corp. is scheduled to launch the Crew-13 mission to the International Space Station no earlier than September 12, 2026. Departing from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, the crew will travel aboard the Dragon spacecraft Grace, which features new metal mud flaps for its abort thrusters. For the first time, SpaceX will utilize Tesla Cybertrucks for launch pad emergency evacuations.
The crew consists of NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Joshua Kutryk, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergey Teteryatnikov. As part of the Expedition 75/76 crew, the team will spend seven months on the orbiting outpost. Their objectives include conducting spacewalks and station maintenance, as well as performing research on crop production and diseases including Parkinson's and heart disease.
Before launch, the crew is scheduled for a vehicle test drive on August 7, 2026, wearing new Rev. 3 SpaceX suits. Jessica Watkins will be the first active NASA astronaut to fly on a Dragon spacecraft twice.
