Google Launches Pixel 11 Lineup with Tensor G6 Chip

Google released the Pixel 11 smartphone series featuring the Tensor G6 chip, AI performance boosts, and a new LED notification system called HiLight.

Google launched the Pixel 11 smartphone lineup, comprising the standard Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The series is powered by the new Tensor G6 SoC, which the company claims increases web browsing speeds by 25%, app launch speeds by 15%, and on-device AI performance by up to 3.5x.

The Pro models introduce several hardware upgrades, including a 48-megapixel zoom camera with 5x optical zoom and 25W faster wireless charging. The Pixel 11 Pro XL starts at $1,299 and features a 5,115mAh battery, while the Pixel 11 Pro is priced at ₹1.2 lakh in India. A new circular multi-color LED notification light called HiLight is integrated into the rear camera bar, though reports indicate the feature is currently experiencing technical issues and supports limited functions for favorite contacts and Google Assistant commands.

Software additions include Magic Capture for automated moment selection and Camera Looks for photo customization. While the Pro devices offer brighter OLED panels and improved sensors, the base Pixel 11, priced at $899, remains largely unchanged from its predecessor. The company positions the new hardware as a significant upgrade for users with devices three to four years old, despite maintaining a market share in India of under 1%.
