Louisiana Ranks Among Top States for Job Growth

Louisiana Works reports that Louisiana ranks among the top four states for job growth for the 2025-2026 period. Only three other states showed better results according to the agency's data.

Despite these growth gains, worker retention remains a challenge. A survey of 2,000 people conducted by Zippia indicates that 13% of workers consider quitting their jobs on a daily basis.

In Louisiana and Texas, money is the primary driver for employees leaving their positions. This financial motivation outweighs other common factors such as commute times or the desire for more flexible working hours.
