NHL Names DoorDash Exclusive Delivery Partner in North America
The National Hockey League partnered with DoorDash as its exclusive on-demand delivery provider and signed a five-year streaming deal with Disney+ for Northern Europe.
The National Hockey League entered into a multiyear partnership with DoorDash, designating the company as the league's exclusive on-demand delivery and pick-up partner across the United States and Canada starting with the 2026-27 season. The agreement grants DoorDash broad marketing rights, including digitally enhanced branding during national broadcasts and integration into the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the Winter Classic.
In Canada, DoorDash will serve as the presenting sponsor for regular-season and playoff games aired on Prime Video on Wednesday nights. The partnership begins with a Puck Drop promotion on September 29, which will be followed by recurring game night deals. Gina Igwe, vice president of brand, creative, and consumer marketing at DoorDash, noted that hockey night in Canada is a family ritual and appointment viewing for millions of fans across North America.
Simultaneously, the league expanded its international reach by signing a five-year agreement with Disney+. Starting in the 2026-27 season, Disney+ will stream NHL games in Sweden and Finland via Star Channel and ESPN on Disney+.
