OneRail and Nvidia Launch OmniStar AI for Last-Mile Delivery

Logistics company OneRail has launched OmniStar, an AI-powered platform developed in partnership with Nvidia to optimize last-mile delivery decisions for retailers. The platform integrates Nvidia hardware and software with OneRail's proprietary data from 1,000 logistics partners and 12 million drivers to identify the most efficient carriers and routes in real time.
OneRail reports that OmniStar reduces the time needed to determine optimal routing from 20 minutes to two and a half minutes. The company intends for the tool to help smaller retailers improve margins and delivery speeds to better compete with industry giants like Amazon and Walmart. OneRail expects the platform to exceed $6 billion in gross merchandise volume in the fourth quarter.
OmniStar is already active with select customers. One tire distributor reportedly saved $40 million over a three-year run rate using the system. Company leadership emphasized that the speed of AI-driven decisions is critical for maintaining profitability in the expensive last-mile fulfillment sector.
