Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Defence Amir Baram led a high-level delegation to India on June 22, 2026, to expand bilateral defense and industrial cooperation. The visit follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed in February 2026 and focuses on increasing Israeli defense exports, joint planning, training, and the co-production of advanced technology.
During the mission, Baram met with Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh, and Chief of Defence Staff Gen. N. S. Raja Subramani. Discussions centered on research and development in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity.
The Israeli Ministry of Defence described the visit as part of a broader strategy to widen strategic partnerships with an eastward focus. This initiative aims to bolster the Israeli defense industry and economy while strengthening the Israel Defence Forces force build-up through expanded exports.
